The Ohio Amblyope Registry (OAR) is the first and only statewide registry for children and families with amblyopia.

We provide free treatment supplies (eye patches), educational information and support to any child (under the age of 18) and their family in the state of Ohio diagnosed with amblyopia. Once a child is diagnosed with amblyopia, a registration form is completed and registers them with the OAR. Upon registration, the child receives free adhesive eye patches, educational information and compliance items to help with patching.

When the child needs additional patches, the caregiver can call our office or visit our website to request additional patches. Every child, regardless of household income, can receive additional free patches during their patching treatment. The OAR team takes great pride in choosing the fun, up-to-date designs of the patches we provide.

The OAR is a partnership among Ohio's eye care professionals and leading pediatric hospitals.

The patches provided by the Ohio Amblyope Registry are latex-free and hypoallergenic. The Ohio Amblyope Registry does not manufacture the patches that we provide to our registrants.
